The iPhone 4 vs. the EVO 4G. It’s the battle of our time. Or, at least, it was until Verizon unveiled the Droid X, thus continuing the cycle of Android phones one-upping one another from week to week. But regardless, iPhone 4 vs. EVO 4G is an interesting battle — at least among fanboys of the iPhone and Android platforms. And now there’s a great video to personify it.

Let the next-gen smartphone wars begin. Days after Apple took the wraps off the iPhone 4, Verizon began advertising for the Droid X, the latest installment in Motorola's top-selling Droid line. Details are still fuzzy on the Droid X hardware, but early reports say the phone is a "snappy," sleek performer, and a worthy challenger to the iPhone 4 and HTC EVO 4G.

Sprint Employee Terminated For Leaking EVO 4G Sales Figures

The tales surrounding the launch of the EVO 4G have been intriguing, to say the least. On June 4th, the device launched. By June 7th, Sprint was touting the phone’s sales as mammoth, claiming that it had broken their previous one-day sales records (as held by the Samsung Instinct and Palm Pre) by as much as 3 times. Just two days later, they recanted that story, declaring that they had “erred” in their original estimations, and that the sales numbers were inline with those of their previous top sellers.

'4G' timing not quite right for Sprint's big-screen Evo

by Rob Pegoraro on Jun 9, 2010

Sprint's new HTC Evo 4G, its third device to run Google's Android operating system, raises that theoretically absurd question. The Evo -- debuting June 4 for $299.99, before a $100 mail-in rebate, for new or renewing subscribers -- stands apart from other smartphones even when it's shut off. Its comparatively enormous display, 4.3 inches across, makes it a slab of a device, wider than any mobile phone I can remember using.

Sprint EVO 4G breaks sales record, despite snags

on Jun 8, 2010

Today was supposed to belong to Apple, which unveiled a new iPhone 4 at the WWDC in San Francisco. Instead, the scrappy Sprint EVO 4G – a phone manufactured by the Taiwanese company HTC – has managed to nab its share of the media spotlight. According to Sprint, the EVO 4G broke all previous company records for single-day sales, triggering a shortage at outlets and retail chains around the country, and amping up demand for the sleek smartphone.

Sprint EVO 4G launches, but not without a few snags

on Jun 5, 2010

It's launch day for the Sprint EVO 4G, the HTC-designed machine recently dubbed by one reviewer as "truly one of the best smartphones ever made." But is the Sprint 4G network ready for the EVO? Depends on whom you ask. Although some testers have lauded the EVO's snappy voice and data connections, at least one writer is complaining that the Sprint EVO is a "great phone is still looking for a great network."
